Code of conduct
The rules say what will get you removed. This is how we want to play together.
Be someone people want in their crew
- Welcome new people. Everyone was new to a game once. Answer questions, invite people in, and explain without talking down.
- Good sportsmanship. Win and lose well. Banter is fine when everyone's laughing; it stops the moment someone isn't.
- Don't grief your own side. No team-killing, sabotaging, stealing a crew's loot, ditching a ship or squad mid-session, or holding a match hostage.
- Show up when you sign up. If you join an op, a crew or an event, be there, or say so early so someone else can take the seat.
- Share the mic. Leave room for others in voice, and use push-to-talk if your space is noisy.
Look after each other
- Assume good intent first, and ask before reacting. Text and voice lose tone.
- Respect boundaries. If someone asks you to stop, stop. Don't DM people who haven't welcomed it.
- Report, don't retaliate. If someone is breaking the rules, open a ticket in
#supportrather than escalating in public. Reports are handled privately.
Represent HTG well
When you play under the HTG name, on our servers or as part of an HTG crew, squad or org, you represent the community. Treat other players, including opponents and strangers, the way you'd want HTG to be known.
Staff
Staff follow the same rules, held to a higher standard. Staff decisions are logged, and members can appeal them as described in moderation.
