FAQ

The questions newcomers ask most. Each answer links to the rule or page it comes from. Anything else: open a ticket in #support on Discord.

Is HTG official?

No. Hidden Token Gaming is an independent fan community. It isn't affiliated with or endorsed by Valve, Bulkhead, Team17, Microsoft, Rare, Cloud Imperium Games or KRAFTON, and every game's own rules apply on top of ours (publisher rules).

Why is HTG 18+?

It's a community for adults who want to play with other adults. Anyone found to be under 18 is removed. That's a membership requirement, not a punishment, and you're welcome back once you're 18 (rule 1, moderation).

Why can't my new Discord account join?

Discord accounts less than three days old are turned away at the door. Raiders and ban evaders use brand-new accounts, and the wait stops them without getting in anyone else's way. Come back once your account is three days old (join).

Does it cost anything?

No. HTG is free, and nobody can buy an advantage here, in any game (about).

Which games and platforms?

Sea of Thieves (PC, Xbox and PlayStation 5), Star Citizen (PC), WARDOGS (PC), Counter-Strike 2 (PC) and PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS (PC and console, which can't squad together). Each game's page says how we play it (games).

Do I need a mic?

Not to join. The finder channels are text. Sessions meet in voice, so a mic makes crewing up much easier, but you're welcome to listen and type. Keep voice usable: no soundboard or mic spam (rule 9).

How do I find people to play with?

Pick your games when you join and you'll see their channels. Post in the game's finder channel, take its ping to hear when people want takers, and press Interested on the weekly sessions on the events page. Sessions run on US Central evenings; Discord shows each event in your own time zone.

Can I host a session?

Yes. Open a ticket in #support with the game, the time and what you want to play, and staff set up the Discord event with you.

What gets me banned?

Cheating, exploits or XP farming are a permanent ban on the first offence, on HTG servers or anywhere else (rule 5). So are hate speech, threats, targeted harassment, doxxing, raids, mass spam and scams. Most other rule breaks move one step up a ladder, from a warning to timeouts, a kick and then a ban (moderation).

How do I report someone or reach staff?

Open a ticket in #support. Only you and staff can see it. Don't argue a staff decision in public channels: appeal it as moderation describes. Banned accounts appeal by email after 30 days. Privacy questions go to privacy@hiddentoken.com.
